Policy Address proposes building "AI City Brain" to integrate city

The Policy Address proposes building an "AI City Brain" to integrate city management.

Chief Secretary Eric Chan says the goal is to complete the construction in the first quarter of 2028.

It will connects with the 1823 hotline and emergency system data.

Eric Chan said 'At the first phase, we spend about 200 billion dollars is for integrating all the computer systems from different departments into the city brain. That these computer systems they are now operating separately, independently. I would say in different departments. But I think we want them to integrate into the single system as acting the function of AI. Then we can predict any disaster or any accidents from happening.'

Chan also says the system only focuses on city management, rather than catching criminals, and involves no personal data. The new "AI City Brain" will take about six to nine years from its launch to reach full operation.
